Paddling Paradise Burke Lake Park Campgrounds and Lake Fairfax Park Campgrounds are located in northern Virginia. You camp in the peace and quiet of beautiful park settings surrounded by acres of forest, yet have the convenience of easy access to metrorail that can put you at the museums, memorials, galleries and other attractions of Washington D.C. in just minutes, giving you the best of both worlds.

BURKE LAKE PARK

Fish are jumping

The campgrounds at Burke Lake Park in Fairfax Station, Virginia, have 100 wooded campsites (no electric or water hookups), a bathhouse with sinks, showers and toilets, a dump station, public phones, a camp store, ice, picnic tables, grills and fire rings. The campgrounds are open Mid April to late October.

The park's centerpiece is a 218-acre lake with a phenonmenal largemouth bass population that makes it one of Virginia's most popular fishing holes. Bait and tackle sales, row boat rentals and a boat launch are also available.

LAKE FAIRFAX PARK

Evening time on the lake

Lake Fairfax Park's campgrounds in Reston, Virginia, are open year round with 136 campsites, 70 with electrical hookups (40 15amp and 30 30amp), a bathhouse with sinks, showers and toilets, a dump station, public phones, a camp store, picnic tables and grills.

The star attraction at Lake Fairfax Park is the Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole, a western theme activity pool with an acre of interactive play features, including Rattlesnake River, Box Canyon Crossing, slides and flumes - all designed with kids in mind. In addition, the park has an 18-acre lake with pedal boat rentals, tour boat rides and fishing in both the lake and seasonally-stocked trout stream.
